10 Year old homeschooled Musician, on her way to fame!

Let me introduce you to Xia, my 10 years old “Music Angel”

Xia was homeschooled from the get go, and didn’t even attend daycare.

Since Xia was a baby, we had a strict routine, with focus on discipline. We chose to follow a natural learning approach with her, through a variety of mediums like reading books, playing and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

With a Holistic Health approach to wellness, that simultaneously addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual components of health, I believe that children thrive on routine and sound discipline.

When Xia turned 4, we decided to spend all of our savings, with a little extra financing from the grandparents, to buy her a “relatively ancient” second hand piano, as a birthday gift.

With this purchase, we silently understood that  Xia’s passion must be nurtured to our best capacity, as changing instruments thereafter, will be costly… This just had to work…

You could imagine our delight and relief, when Xia immediately took a liking to the lessons, and we could immediately tell her passion for the piano, was set.

As for me – her mother and teacher – I can only PLAY the organ – on hearing alone – the music notes elude me entirely.. We again had to free the funds, for Xia, to attend two years of piano lessons. Once we felt confident that Xia was familiar with the concepts of theory, we ended the professional lessons, and continued her lessons from home, using a comprehensive collection of books called “Alfred’s Basic Piano Library.” With these books on hand, and my ability to listen to the notes at hand, we slaved forward.

As a rule, we did not want to expose Xia to online videos and television, until the age of 12, so I would, once a week, show her a full performance of a famous pianist. We also have dear friends, whose daughter, Maya Snyman, is a world piano and violin champion, and she would send us videos, of her daughter’s performances. These insights also ignited Xia, to become a world class performer and music artist, from a very young age.

Forward to this year, Xia will start her university degree through ABRSM, with the assistance of a professional music teacher, whom also delightedly stated “Xia will be able to have a degree and start teaching at the age of 12” after listening to her performances to date.

According to Xia, playing for the worlds “Kings and Queens” is her life goal, and honest commitment.

If you would be so kind, and support Xia’s dream, please click on the link, and “like” her video.

If you subscribe to her channel, you will not only receive regular updates on her progress, but also assist Xia greatly, to realize her dream. It takes less than 5 seconds of your valuable time, to help realize a dream of a lifetime!

Sincere gratitude from a fellow homeschool mom and the Music Angel. 🙏🏻
